Named after the classic 1994 gem “Fillmore Jive” of the iconic West Coast indie rockers Pavement, Pittsburgh’s duo Fillmore Jive their own twist to add to garage punk. Listeners should not be misled by the term “Jive” in their name, they are not a jam band by any means.
Fillmore Jive is strongly influenced by the neo-psychedelic sounds of the Brian Jones Town Massacre, The Dirtbombs and The Dandy Warhols. Fillmore Jive includes Gina Kantner Braun on drums and Kevin on bass. The band played a concert in Cedar Lounge Friday, with local post-rock Braille. The Jive-mates and friends are dating for six years. They decided their extensive musical ideas together into a single band starts in April. She put a demo CD in the summer, recorded by Gino West Jones 4 Revival. The band also had a live CD.Visit our site:Jonestown
